Info: This tall marsh grass is part of the smooth cord grass family.  This native plant to florida is also considered invasive in the pacific northwest.   This plant is specifically designed to withstand the harsh enviornment of the tidal saltwater, in salt water, out of the water, extreme temperatures,etc.  This grass gives the barrier island of southweast georgia and northeast florida their nickname of the "golden isles" during its summer and fall blooming season.
