Info: Commonly known as  the sea hawk these large predator birds inhabit coastal and freshwater ecosystems.  Their diet consist of almost exclusively of fish.  You can often see the diving the surf for fish on calmer days.  Known to be one of the most successful hunters in the animal kingdom they get targets almost 50% of the time!  The osprey is the second most widely distributed bird raptor bird.  While the osprey holds many various adaptations to make it hunting easier the most impressive is its reversible outer toes.  This allows to turn its prey around and fly with the fish facing forward making it more aerodynamic.
