Info: This plant has many nickname such as; turtleweed, pickleweed, and marsh pickle.  Salt wort is used in many salads in a variety of different cultures and can be cooked and "popped" like popcorn.  This plant is known as a pioneering plant which means it will come in first after large storms and provides help to large plant species to root.
